Marketers see the value in extending mobile apps not only to customers, but also to other key players in the value chain such as employers and partners. But a compelling mobile strategy requires that marketers design, develop and deploy mobile apps that are capable of delivering a range of online services, from product communications to fresh content, unique specials and even gaming.
This report is based on a survey conducted by Forbes Insights in October 2013, which was completed by 302 senior marketers in North America, Asia-Pacific and Europe. The companies had at least $250 million in revenue; 12% had revenues of $1 billion or more. Additional in-depth interviews were conducted by Forbes Insights.
